Join us for our April event, where we get to pick the brains of some of the top children’s magicians in the country. Whether you perform for kids or not, you’re guaranteed to learn some great tips on creativity, pacing, audience management, top tricks and the nitty gritty business side of magic promotion and marketing. 

Panelists include:

Anthony Lindan

Performs for children's and family events as the character Scoop McCoy. Scoop's zany magic shows feature lots of laughs, audience participation and amazing magic.

Richard Lyn

Immigrated to Canada from Jamaica in 1966 and toured the country with a dove act from 1967 to 1970, performed as a Mentalist from 1970 to 1975 and has been performing for children as “Tricky Ricky” since 1989.

Phil Pivnick

A full-time kids and family magician that performs hundreds of shows each year. His shows are filled with his take on magical classics, as well as a lot of original material. His tricks have appeared in publications like Vanish, and The Linking Ring, and his Birthday Candle Repeat was a best seller at Vanishing Inc.

BenTastic and Magic Mel

Husband and wife duo that are full time kids and family magicians. Mel and Ben Jones met while performing for The Walt Disney Company and have entertained hundreds of families on board Disney Cruise Ships. Over the last 4 years Mel has changed her focus from dancing and character work to performing magic, and is now one of Canada's premier female magicians. As Ben and Mel come from a theatre/performing background, they bring a different tone and perspective to their magic performances, and are excited to share some of this with the Sid Lorraine Hat and Rabbit Club! 

Aaron Matthews

Performances are a mix of high energy dancing, impossible illusions, inspiring stories and shocking moments. Aaron did a 60- day run of magic shows at Canada’s Wonderland where he broke every audience attendance record,  He’s been featured on Disney Channel, ETalk, CityTV & YTV! He has recently made it to the semi-finals of Canada’s Got Talent with his creation The Canine Circus!
